Earlier this month, Crescent Manufacturing was one of 19 companies recognized for shaping Connecticut’s export landscape at the Made in Connecticut: 2023 Manufacturing Summit. The Connecticut District Export Council, in collaboration with CBIA, CONNSTEP, and READYCT, honored us with the prestigious Connecticut Export Award, a testament to our six decades of unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. This recognition comes at a time when the global market is increasingly competitive, making this award even more meaningful.
Executive Vice President, Bruce J. Penn, accepted the award on behalf of Crescent. Bruce started his journey at Crescent in 1979 as a Slotter Operator. Then, in 1983, he left to serve six honorable years in the Marines, before returning to Crescent in 1989 in plant maintenance. In 1993, Bruce was promoted to Maintenance & Safety Manager and in 2000, to the Officer as VP of Manufacturing. In 2016, Bruce’s dedication reached its pinnacle when he was promoted to Crescent’s Executive Vice President.
